READ/ERASE ABS System Codes
An anti-lock braking system (ABS) is an automobile safety system that allows the wheels on a motor vehicle to maintain tractive contact with the road surface according to driver inputs while braking, preventing the wheels from locking up (ceasing rotation) and avoiding uncontrolled skidding. An ABS warning lamp that is on usually means trouble and you need to pull the code to figure out what is wrong. The MD806 provides convenient service to read and erase codes for the ABS system.
READ/ERASE SRS(Airbag) Codes
The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) is also referred to as a passive restraint system because the vehicle occupants do not need to do anything. The SRS system will be activated when the enabling criteria (speed and deceleration) are met. If the SRS light is blinking or stays on, there is a fault somewhere in the SRS system, putting you and your passengers at risk. The purpose of the SRS light on your instrument panel is to alert you of a potential problem with your supplemental restraint system.
Use the MD806 to have the system checked if:
The light does not come on when you turn the ignition ON.The light stays on after the engine starts.The light comes on or flashes while you are driving.
READ/ERASE Engine System Codes
The “Malfunction Indicator Lamp” (or Check Engine Light) is supposed to come on when a problem occurs in the engine control system that affects emission. Depending on how the system is configured and the nature of the problem, the lamp may come on and go off, remain on continuously or flash. When this happens, the OBDII system sets one or more diagnostic trouble codes that correspond to the problem detected. MD806 is the scan tool that can help you read and clear codes for engine control system.
READ/ERASE Transmission Codes
The job of a car’s transmission is to make sure that the right amount of power goes to your wheels to drive at a given speed. It works by shifting gears and if you don’t keep it well-maintained, you’ll lose fuel economy or maybe not even be able to drive at all. This OBD2 Scanner helps eliminating the warning light by the clearing diagnostic trouble codes function, but crucially this diagnostic tool can read DTCs to locate the cause of the trouble, also view live data stream for recognizing current condition of the Transmission, so then you can address the issue timely.
6 Service Functions for Specific Cars
Oil Reset/EPB
Oil Reset: The Engine Oil Life System calculates when to change the engine oil and filter based on vehicle use. An oil change is required whenever indicated by the display and according to the recommended maintenance schedule. Whenever the oil is changed, reset the system so it can calculate when the next oil change is required. If a situation occurs where the oil is changed prior to a service indicator being turned on, the system also needs to be reset.
EPB: This electric parking brake (EPB) function has a multitude of uses to maintain the electronic braking systems safely and effectively.
DPF/SAS
DPF: A Diesel Particulate Filter, often referred to as the DPF, is a device designed and integrated into the Diesel Engine Exhaust Systems to trap and remove Diesel Particulate Matter or Soot from the exhaust gasses of the diesel engine. The result of DPF is greater economy, improved smoothness and a reduction of harmful emissions.
SAS: Steering Angle Sensor Calibration permanently stores the current steering wheel position as the straight-ahead position in the steering angle sensor EEPROM. Therefore, the front wheels and the steering wheel must be set exactly to the straight-ahead position before calibration.
BMS/Throttle
BMS: The BMS (Battery Management System) allows the scan tool to evaluate the battery charge state, monitor the close-circuit current, register the battery replacement, activate the rest state of the vehicle, and charge the battery via the diagnostic socket.
Throttle: MD806 can also do Throttle related problems for most of the cars in the market.

Autoscan
Autel MaxiDiag MD806 is one of the most popular scan tools of Autel. It’s very easy to use. It can do autoscan for specific cars which means it automatically identify your car VIN and process diagnosis for your car.
PS: To perfermance the autoVIN functions, it depends on your car. As long as the VIN information is programmed into the ECU of your car by the car Manufacturer, then the device can automactically identify the VIN information. Old cars usually don’t have autovin functions, newer cars do.
